Creating Unique Wedding Favors, Guestbooks and Wedding Programs
Author: Heidi Reimer-Epp of Botanical PaperWorks
Handmade paper and envelopes are great for so many more uses than just invitations! Here are some ideas from the designers at Botanical PaperWorks:
HANDMADE WEDDING FAVORS
- Plantable Scroll: Roll a 6 x 9" piece of "plantable"
Garden Greetings paper into a scroll, punch hole in corner of planting
instructions, thread onto decorative ribbon and tie ribbon around
scroll into a pretty bow. Free planting instructions are included with all Garden Greetings paper
orders.
- Seed and Flower Confetti Packet: Place a colorful blend of
wildflower seeds and dried petals in a Garden Greetings
"plantable" A2 envelope. Include instructions inviting
guests to throw "confetti" and take plantable envelope home.
- Petal Confetti Packet: Place a fragrant blend of fresh petals
in a translucent vellum envelope for a beautiful
wedding favor.
- Tissue Holder: Place folded tissues in
handmade petal envelope. Place a packet at the end of each pew or row for when tears of joy
flow!
GUESTBOOKS
- Signed "Guestbook" Panel: Using a 16 x 20" sheet of
handmade paper, have guests sign the page.
Frame page with matting to show off deckled edge. If desired, place photo of
couple in center of page and have guests sign around photo.
WEDDING PROGRAMS
- Sleeve Style Program: Use a 11 x 14"
handmade sheet, in Cotton and Silver Thread,
Moss and Petals or other handmade paper, and fold in three to create a three-panel folio.
Close folio with archival adhesive or decorative wax seal. Print wedding program
on vellum sheet and slip into folio.
- Booklet Style Program: Use 2-3 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11"
handmade paper, folded in half and tied on fold
with thin piece of ribbon. Print on handmade
paper before assembling.
- Small Book in Envelope Program: Print program on several
sheets of 6 x 9 handmade paper. Fold into booklet
and place in an A6 handmade envelope. Keeps the program together and creates a great
take-away memento!
