Easy Fold Books

About This Project

Fold Books make fun and easy wedding favors. They are also great for little holiday gifts for loved ones, and as favors for holiday parties. The outstanding feature of Fold Books is that they are made entirely without sewing. So easy! Folding creates the structure and should be done carefully in order to make each page the same size.

Supply List

  • 8 1/2 x 11 handmade plantable paper or decorative paper
  • scissors or X-Acto knife
  • blunt knife or bone folder

    How To Make This Project

    1. Fold the sheet of paper in half so that the two halves measure 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 each. Fold into quarters, measuring 8 1/2 x 2 3/4 each. Smooth the folds with the blunt knife. Open up the sheet and fold the other side into thirds, measuring 3 5/8 per panel.

    2. Open up the sheet and smooth paper flat. Using scissors or X-Acto knife, cut the sheet along the lines as shown in the template. The sheet will now be cut into a long snake-like shape. Fold into compact fold book, starting at the first square and folding back and forth to the last square.

    3. Embellish the compact book by creating a wire clasp, as shown in the photo above. Use pressed flowers, ribbons and beads to add whimsy and charm to the little book. Most of all, enjoy filling the book with keepsake photos, inspirational quotes and special messages!
