Parsley Pesto Dressing Recipe Using Herbs Grown From Seed Paper May 16, 2012
Kirsten Gum is known for her adventures in travelling the world on The Travel Channel. She's been all over the place!
So we were honoured when Kirsten approached Botanical PaperWorks about work with her on her latest adventure - Experience Raw. You see, Kirsten is also a Gourmet Raw Food Chef, and uses her travels to share techniques, equipment and recipes that all help to contribute to healthy raw food lifestyle.
Kristen chose to use our Plantable Flavorful Memories Herb Favor for a special "Paper to Plate" series of cooking lessons in various cities across North America. Not only to encourage raw cooking, but to show how great it can be to plant your own herbs to cook with. We couldn't agree more!
So here's where you get to benefit from our partnership with Kirsten. Kirsten was kind enough to put together a recipe for you! Take a look at the video above, as Kirsten shows us how to use herbs grown from seed paper to make a delicious Vegan Parsley Pesto Dressing.
Want to try to make it yourself? You should, it's so good! If you didn't catch all the ingredients in the video, that's okay - download the free recipe card right here! And if you want to send a sample of what you make our way…we won't mind…
Bon appétit!
Mother's Day Free Printables Download April 30, 2012
The other day we showed you some of our new plantable Mother's Day cards and other Mother's Day gift ideas.
Today, for those of you that are looking for an added DIY project to your Mother's Day gift, we thought you might enjoy this free downloadable sheet of Mother's Day printables. Take a look, it's been designed based on our Bright Bouquet Plantable Stationery Collection!
On this sheet you'll find flags (great for adding as a cupcake topper, or in a potted plant like we've done), tags, special Mother's Day coupons, and for that special added touch (for breakfast in bed, maybe?), we've even included a tea bag tag!
Of course we recommend printing this on seed paper for an extra-special DIY project that will give your mom flowers, too. What could be better?

With Easter coming up next weekend, and the new Stacked Easter Eggs Plantable Happy Easter Card featured earlier this week on Send More Mail and just yesterday on Paper Crave's post "Happy Easter Cards, Part 2", we thought it was a good time to offer this fun plantable Easter card as a free desktop background. Enjoy!

Free Desktop Background for Valentine's Day February 3, 2012
With Valentine's Day just around the corner, we thought that a free desktop background was more than a little overdue.
So today, we present you with a pair of adorable oranges in an array of sizes for any screen. This little couple is our personal favorite from the brand new Fruit Friends Plantable Cards Set. Look at that single little tooth! Gets me every time.

Filled with friendly puns, this set is so fun for classroom exchanges. And because these plantable cards are made entirely from seed paper, they're also a great way to teach kids about being eco-friendly too.
If the fruit friends aren't your thing, we also have the Robot Friends Plantable Cards Set, as well as many others to choose from in our growing selection of plantable Valentine's Day cards.
Fill-in-the-Blank Free Letter To Santa Printable December 16, 2011
Wow! It's hard to believe that Christmas is only a little more than a week away. I don't know about you, but the past couple of months have just flown by - it feels like just a couple weeks ago we were saying happy Halloween.
Anyway, with all the crafts and DIY projects we've been posting, we thought we'd post a little something fun for all the kiddos out there today. A fun, weekend-before-Christmas free letter to Santa printable.
And if you have any seed paper kicking around, why not print on that? Even though the North Pole is cold, there's bound to be some flower pots kicking around, the paper can be planted inside!
Not only can kids tell him what they wish for, but they can also share a few of their best accomplishments of the year (and why they deserve to be on the "nice" list). They can even put in a good word with The Big Guy for one of their friends too.
Pass along and enjoy!
Free Desktop Background: Winter Berries December 7, 2011
It's gotten a LOT colder here this week, which is putting of all of us here at Botanical PaperWorks a little more in the winter spirit. And because of that, we've updated our desktops with a new background of winter berries from our Tranquil Garden Plantable Stationery Collection.
Of COURSE we're going to share with all of you too! It's totally free to download for your computer, iPad, and iPhone too.

Poppy Free Desktop Background November 7, 2011
With both Veteran's Day and Remembrance Day coming up this Friday for our American and Canadian friends, we're seeing poppies on almost every person's lapel that walks by. The poppy is a symbol that means so much to so many people, and it makes us incredibly happy to see so many people of all ages honoring those that fought for our countries.
It's with these thoughts in mind that we took the poppies from our Bright Bouquet Plantable Stationery Collection to create a series of beautiful free desktop backgrounds for you to download and use on a wide range of computers.
Enjoy!

52 Weeks Of Mail October 7, 2011

Who doesn't appreciate receiving handwritten notes? We sure do, and that's why we are participating in 52 Weeks of Mail, an initiative created by popular website Etsy and their Greetings Team, and designer Kimberly Costa.
By participating in 52 Weeks of Mail, we will be sending out at LEAST one card per week to a lucky randomly picked person that wants to participate and gives us their address. Yes, using snail mail! Each plantable card is a gift on its own already, as it will grow wildflowers when planted…but there may even be a little something extra special inside too...
It's nice to get away from technology every once in a while, and we want to bring back the pleasure of receiving a handwritten note. Sending handwritten letters are a classic and great way to keep in touch with family or friends, near or far!
If you've never seen our seed paper in person before, this is the perfect time! With wildflower seeds embedded in our plantable paper, you will have a beautiful bouquet of wildflowers once planted.
Help share in the fun! All you have to do is contact us with your address to participate. Just include "52 weeks of mail" as the subject line. Easy!
