Botanical PaperWorks is proud to announce their Plantable Memorial Collection
It's always special when we here at Botanical PaperWorks are able to tell you about the new things we've been working on for you. A lot goes in to preparing any new seed paper items before we can tell anyone about it. In the case of today's announcement of our new plantable memorial funeral cards, there was even more consideration that needed to take place, and an even bigger personal connection.
Funerals and memorial services are a sensitive time for most, so although we are always excited when we can offer you something new, we are very aware that some people may just not feel comfortable with the subject. Botanical PaperWorks President, Heidi Reimer-Epp took a bit of time to write about her personal experience in using our new product:
My family recently walked alongside my aunt and her family as they grappled with the loss of their mother and grandmother. I had known Mrs. Pascal for all of my life; as the "other" grandma to my cousins, she was part of many of our family gatherings. And later in life, she and my grandma lived in the same complex so I often visited with Mrs. Pascal when I came for lunch.
Around the time that my aunt was planning the memorial service, we at Botanical PaperWorks were designing a new line of memorial seed cards. Each product in this line of seed cards is designed with a piece of plantable paper, special paper that is embedded with seeds. The purpose of the memorial seed cards is to provide guests and family with a long-lasting memento since when the plantable paper is planted, it grows a bouquet of wildflowers.
My aunt and her brothers chose the memorial bookmark and personalized it with a special verse and Mrs. Pascal's dates. The bookmarks were handed out at the service and mailed to friends and family who weren't able to be in attendance. I was touched to see the bookmarks tucked into people's pockets and purses and and now as Spring approaches, it's lovely to imagine the flowers that will be planted across the country in memory of Mrs. Pascal.
As much as we know that these products will be used in a time of sadness, we hope that their promise of a bouquet of forget-me-not flowers growing from the plantable paper will help bring a little light and love to your occasion. We've created the line with the goal of making the planning and preparation of the event as easy as possible for you.
Products such as memorial cards and memorial bookmarks can be customized with a variety of plantable seed shapes available. Our angel plantable memorial card, butterfly memorial bookmark, and many others are all customizable with space to enter the name, dates, and your preferred memorial verses and poems.
We hope that you agree that any of these products would be a thoughtful memento to commemorate a loved one.
