New Ideas for Personalizing Wedding Favor Pillow Boxes

Summer Pillow Box Wedding Favor Ideas
Looking for an easy way to add a personal touch to your wedding? These seed paper pillow box favors are a perfect way to show your guests your appreciation for sharing in your special day. When they are done with the treat inside, they can plant the boxes and grow wildflowers because the paper is embedded with seeds that grow.
Continuing from last week's Coral and Pink Wedding Ideas, we made this project in coral and pink seed paper.
In the above image at left, we decorated the boxes with real flowers that compliment the color of the boxes. On the right, we used flower-shaped craft punches to make colorful seed paper confetti. Marigold yellow and tangerine seed papers compliment the coral and pink boxes. The confetti was used to decorate the boxes, but feel free to give it to the guests to throw after the ceremony or to decorate your tables. Winter Pillow Box Wedding Favor Ideas
Winter is far from everyone's thoughts at the moment, but for all you brides planning your winter weddings, you have to check out these winter-themed pillow box favors. We created them with our purple and stone grey seed paper and accented them with lustrous eggplant and silver ribbon.
Like the summer pillow boxes, we made custom seed paper confetti with different sizes of snowflake craft punches. We used our white, dove grey, pastel lavender, and purple seed paper to make the confetti. With a beautiful winter themed wedding you need a little bling, we added wire ribbon with plastic gems attached that we found at Michaels. Get creative and have fun with it!

Here's what you'll need to do this project:
- Download the free template from {diy project} Make Your Own Favor Pillow Boxes
- 8 1/2 x 11 plantable seed paper or decorative paper
- scissors or X-Acto knife
- blunt knife or bone folder
- ribbon to match
- craft punches in desired shapes
- glue
Instructions
Download the free printable template. Paste the template onto cardboard to create a rigid template for tracing. Cut out the template. Trace the pattern on your paper. Cut out and assemble as described in the project instructions.
Ideas for Filling the Pillow Box
Fill the box with small treats like candies or chocolate-covered pretzels. Or place special notes of greeting for the guests, small objects like a gift card or light items like hand-chosen tea sachets or small bags of coffee. At a wedding we recently attended, the couple had them stationed by the candy buffet so guests could fill their own boxes with their favorite treats.
