Kristen and Todd’s wedding brought the very meaning of Eco-Beautiful to their big day. There was clearly tons of effort and time put into every last detail. From reading this article the couple, Kristen and Todd, had decided early on that they wanted this special day to have the least environmental impact as possible, they wanted to keep things local, and create a beautiful day to remember for years to come. I want to share with you just a few of the amazing ideas they came up with to truly commit to their eco-friendly goals.

All the beautiful images were taken by the talented team at Love Light Images.

The Decor: They used the the natural backdrop of the forrest for their ceremony along with some elements such as the willow archway and garland made from fall leaves. Even the bouquets were made by one of the bridesmaids from locally sourced flowers. Also, one of the neatest place card arrangements I’ve seen, was made from willow branches with the place cards attached.

The Dress: Not only was Kristen’s dress made by a local designer, it was also comprised of all natural materials.

The Stationery: We are pleased to share that the place cards and menu cards are from our very own plantable Wedding Collection. They chose the Birch Plantable Place Cards and Birch Plantable Menu Cards. Both are made from 100% recycled post-consumer waste and are embedded with seeds. The place cards are made from wildflower seed paper and will grow flowers when planted. The menu cards have carrot seeds embedded in them so when planted they will grow carrots!

The Food: Amongst the many mouthwatering items they had on the menu, a few things really stood out. One of the appetizers they served was lamb meatballs, lamb which they raised on their farm. Another tasty treat was dried apples that the couple hand picked from their farm and dried in advance to give as favors at the end of the night, along with fair-trade organic chocolate…mmmm.

We are so impressed by the way Kristen and Todd stuck to the eco-friendly vision they had for their special day. What a great couple and a beautiful day, we wish them many many years of happiness.
