Unbleached Abaca Pulp Abaca pulp (manila hemp) is a long, strong fibre for handmade paper that comes from the stalk of a specific banana tree (Musa textilis) found in the Philippines. The pulp form of abaca, available through Botanical PaperWorks, is an excellent fibre for making handmade paper, both Western and Japanese-style. The warm, natural tones of unbleached abaca will enhance your handmade paper project and add strength to recycled paper when combined.
