The purpose is to grow wildflowers that benefit important species such as declining bee populations, or in the case of herb and veggie seed paper, to grow your own food at home.

How do I get started?

Although we have a variety of existing shapes for your promotional products to choose from, creating Custom Seed Paper Printed Shapes lets you take control of your promotional products and get exactly the right fit for your message. Below is a step-by-step look at the process of ordering custom seed paper printed shapes.

1. Review our existing shape options

Start by checking out the shapes we currently offer. This will help you get an idea of what works best as well as see if we already have the shape you’re looking for.

2. Create your custom shape

Determine your desired shape and create a key-line of the shape to the size you want for the finished piece. Make sure the file is built in a vector based format, Illustrator is recommended. NOTE: It’s a good idea to work with a graphic designer on this. Also, keep in mind that shapes are cut using a metal die. Avoid overly intricate areas and tight corners as they can cause trimming problems. Contact us if you need design help.

3. Pick a seed paper color

We have 25+ designer colour options available but if you’re printing on your custom shape, you’ll want to make sure the color isn’t too dark for the ink. You can also order a seed paper swatch book to help you decide.

4. Pick a seed type

• Wildflower blend seed paper is available in all colors.
• Tri-herb seed paper is available in white, cream or moss green.
• Individual herb seed paper (parsley, basil, dill) is available in white or cream.
• Carrot seed paper is available in white, cream or burnt orange.
• Tomato seed paper is available in white, cream or brick red.
• Lettuce seed paper is available in white, cream or olive green.

You can also choose from a variety of native species seed papers made for 11 different regions in North America when ordering seed paper promotional products. Conservation biologist APPROVED!

5. Contact us

When you have all of your custom shape details determined, you can contact our Corporate Accounts Manager, Jessica Stehr, or fill in this form to get a quote for your project. Custom shapes require a one time purchase of a custom die, approximately $250. The die is then yours for life if you need to order more shapes down the line. NOTE: Custom dies take approximately 1-2 weeks to order, so if you are on a deadline be sure to start this process as soon as possible.

6. Design & submit artwork

Once the quote is approved, you can design your artwork and submit it with your order. You will use the custom shape you made in step two as your template. NOTE: Be sure to keep the key-line shape guide on a non-printing layer in your artwork (or remove it altogether) and send the key-line as a separate file. 

7. Approval & printing

Shortly after you send us your artwork files, we will send you a digital proof of the final shape for approval. Once approved and your custom die arrives, we will go to print! NOTE: If you are attaching your shape to a product or other printed material, be sure to do a test print and cut out the shape so you get an idea of how the finished product will look.
