{DIY + freebie} Plantable Bouquet Holders With Free Printable Tags For Mother’s Day

Flowers are by far the most popular gift for mom on Mother’s Day because they are guaranteed to make her smile. Most women love fresh blooms for the home that came from someone they love. To make them extra special for this Mother’s Day, add even more flowers to the mix by creating these plantable seed paper bouquet holders with pretty tags to top them off. You won’t even believe how easy they are to make!

Here’s what you need:

• Plantable seed paper sheets
  (We used cream and coral from these Pre-Packaged Colored Seed Paper Sets)
• Flowers of your choice
• Ribbon or twine
• Glue gun
• Scissors or trimming knife and mat

1) Create the cone

To make the bouquet holder base, all you have to do it take and 8 1/5 x 11 sheet of wildflower seed paper and roll it up tightly at the bottom and allow it to open at the top. Use a glue gun to close it.

2) Print, trim & tie tags to the cone

Download these Free Printable Mother’s Day Tags and print them on to seed paper using a top-loading ink-jet printer. (They are personalized in a variety of ways so they can be used for moms, grandmas, aunties, etc.) Then, trim the tags you want to use, hole punch them and attached them to the cone using ribbon or twine.

3) Prepare Flowers

After your plantable bouquet holder cone has been prepared, you’ll have to trim down your flower to fit the cone nicely. This might take a few attempts to make it just right. Using a plastic baggie and a moist paper towel if you like, surround the stems to protect them and use an elastic band to hold it all together.

Then, simply place them in the plantable bouquet holder you made.

4) Give them to the special ladies in your life
